Summer has just arrived, so what are you going to do for the Fourth of July? Your local South Florida Honda Dealers are doing more than wishing you a Happy Fourth; they are sharing where you can enjoy some red, white and blue fun.
Spend a fabulous fourth in Boca Raton at the Spanish River Athletic Complex at deHoernie Park. Festivities start at 6:30 PM with carnival rides, games, crafts, food, drinks, and live music performances. You must not forget to bring your lawn chairs and blankets to enjoy the evening fireworks. Enjoy the free admission and parking in the public lots, including the Boca Corporate Center, which will have a free shuttle.
You and the family can shape your fun by joining the Sand Sculpture Contest at Delray Beach, east of the Pavilion from 8 AM onward. Create an artistic masterpiece or watch the pros do it. Get a team together to win the Volleyball Tourney at 8:30 AM. There will be food, water activities, and other fun throughout the area. You will be getting plenty of music on the main stage at Atlantic Avenue. The fireworks start at 9 PM from a barge in the Atlantic. Free admission for all.
Please come to the 5th annual 4th of July Patriotic Boat Parade and BBQ located at the Fort Pierce Yacht Club. The parade starts at the Turning Basin at noon, and the BBQ is at the club at 6 PM, followed by the fireworks beginning at 9 PM.
In Greenacres, you can enjoy the annual Independence Day Celebration “Ignite the Night,” where you can enter the Most Patriotic Dressed contest, play games, and enjoy the musical entertainment. Other festivities include climbing the rock wall or traversing the obstacle course while enjoying a spectacular fireworks show at the Samuel J. Ferreri Community Park. Admission is free.
What is more American than a baseball game on the Fourth of July? Cheer on four minor league teams, including Jupiter’s Hammerheads at the MEGA Bash at Roger Dean Stadium. The MEGA ticket gets you admission to one game on July 3rd or 4th, Kids Zone fun starting at 5 PM, the MEGA Music Show until 11 PM, and reserved seats for evening fireworks. Group packages are available for your business.
Bring your cool wheels or admire the ones on display at the Lake Worth 4th of July Car, Truck & Bike Show at Bryant Park. You will note that Camaros receive a highlighted status, but that is due to the event’s sponsor being the Camaro Club of West Palm Beach. So, you can expect lots of food, music, and fun. Watch for awards at 3:45 PM and 8:30 PM before enjoying the fireworks later in the evening. Admission charged.
If you’re a golfer, you’ll want to be in Palm Beach Gardens, the hometown of the Professional Golfers Association of America. If you’re not golfing, perhaps you are hitting the retail stores, or downloading the map and following the Ale Trail of the Palm Beaches.
Down at the Riviera Beach Marina on 13th Street, the fun begins at 3 PM with a free family event, food trucks, live entertainment, and even a fashion show. The night is topped off with fireworks. Free parking and shuttles are available. Bring the lawn chairs, then arrive early to get the spot you want.
The air show is what it is all about at Flagler Park. The City of Stuart has acrobatics in the sky for the Fourth of July and not just in the winter. The show begins at 6 PM followed by a Rockin’ Riverwalk concert on Riverwalk Stage. Fireworks will cap off the night with a dazzling display.
Before fireworks brighten your evening, go to the South Florida Science Center and Aquarium in West Palm Beach. You’ll feel the heat but look fresh from live Fire Jug and Liquid Nitrogen demos. Create something new with LEGO spin art and salute some patriotic hands-on activities. Don’t forget to investigate the regular exhibits, gaze at the planetarium shows, or interact with living aquarium creatures. The cost for all the festivities is the one Science Center admission. If you check in with Facebook when you arrive, you get two bucks off.
If you want to celebrate the Fourth with some new wheels, come to one of your local South Florida Honda Dealers. We’ll set you up with some road fun before the fireworks begin.
