Labor Day 5K Run/Walk for LANES (Mon. Sept 5th)

Kick off Labor Day with a healthy 5K, and support your local non-profits at the same time! This year’s event is hosted by WOKB 1680, and portions of participant fees will go toward LANES (Loving, Assisting, Nurturing, Educating & Supporting), which is the area’s youth-mentoring program specifically catered to teenage girls. By participating in the 5K, you’ll help these children develop necessary life skills and strengthen their character so that they have a sure-footed path into adulthood. Whether you love or loathe lacing up the sneakers, what better way to spend your morning than donating sore muscles and some cash to a good cause?

The race will be held a bit north of Port St. Lucie at Barnett Park in Orlando on Monday, September 5th. The opening ceremony begins at 8:45 AM and the race will begin at 9:00 AM. Registration fees are $25 for adults and $10 for children 15 years of age and under. Tickets can be purchased online here.
