Best Residential Christmas Light Displays in South Florida

Christmas Lights in South Florida

Last year, we gave our readers a look at our favorite local holiday hotspots for families to see Christmas lights. This year, we wanted to dive deeper into the rabbit hole by providing a big ole list of the best South Florida houses that dress up for Christmas. Drag your kids away from their phones, and drive or stroll past these festively decorated SoFlo homes and residential neighborhoods this season.

Lime Court (Coconut Grove, FL)

As far as residential Christmas lights go, Coconut Grove’s pièce de résistance can be found on Lime Court. Where on Lime Court? We bet you’ll see the holiday decorations before you even get to the street sign. The usual suspects are here—animated figures, inflatables, and Christmas lights—but the holiday spirit is dialed up to 11. The lights usually run daily starting in December, but you should drive by regularly to see if the homeowners have started the show early. Click here for directions.

8740 SW 186 Street (Cutler Bay, FL)

The Rapport family decorates and operates their fantastic Christmas light show every year. The Cutler Bay home features thousands of lights, animatronics, more than 20 well-lit Christmas trees, inflatables, ornamental reindeer, a Nativity scene, and a Santa impersonator (or is he?) who hands out candy. Pile into your 8-seat Honda Odyssey to take a driving tour of these amazing Cutler Bay Christmas decorations—and make it a family tradition. Click here for directions.

There’s even a hand-built Santa’s Workshop in which Mr. Clause himself toils away as he preps for Christmas Eve. If you’re driving around Ft. Lauderdale looking for Christmas lights, the Sablich family’s home should be at the top of your list. Click here for directions.
