We’ve updated our list! Click here to view our list of 2019 Christmas light displays. It’s officially December, which means South Florida is aglow with festive Christmas lights. It’s the most festive time of the year, and you will find no shortage of spectacular displays of holiday lights to help get you in the mood for this wonderful season. We’ve included some of the most notable alumni of the illumination hall of fame below. Enjoy!

Christmas Lights in Miami

Deering Estate at Cutler – Of course, no holiday season is complete without the cherished traditions of colorful lighting hosted by some of South Florida’s local businesses. Try and fit in a visit to the Deering Estate this season to experience a stroll back in time to 1903. The estate’s homes are decorated with holiday glow from November 30th through January 4th from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. They’re truly some of the best Christmas lights in all of Florida!

Christmas Lights in Coconut Grove

Coconut Grove’s Holiday Tree Lighting Ceremony – Coconut Grove’s tree lighting festival already happened on December 1st, but you can enjoy beautiful X-mas lights throughout the rest of the year at the Florentine Plaza on 3444 Main Highway. Get a start on your holiday shopping with the unique selections offered by the arts and crafts vendors around the plaza, too, and you’ll be hitting two birds with one festive stone. Tradewinds Park Fantasy of Lights in Coconut Creek – Through Tuesday, January 1st, you can drive the three miles around Tradewinds Park from 6 – 10 p.m. to celebrate the season with a spectacular array of lights and color as well as animated displays. Sit back in your Honda Odyssey amid the comfort of the leather-trimmed seating and tri-zone climate control, and your whole family will feel like they’re in heaven.

Christmas Lights in Fort Lauderdale

Seminole Hard Rock Winterfest Boat Parade – Whether you prefer to be a spectator and enjoy the grandeur of “The Greatest Show on H2O,” or you want to participate in the 12-mile holiday parade, it’s sure to become a tradition for you and your family. The parade begins in downtown Fort Lauderdale at 6:30 p.m. on Saturday, December 15th. It will conclude at Lake Santa Barbara in Pompano Beach. Plan on setting aside about 2 ½ hours to enjoy the variety of floats. (And get there early because you don’t want to miss getting a good spot along the New River!)

South Florida Neighborhoods With Christmas Lights

You and your family may have a tradition of just driving through various neighborhoods to enjoy the lights. It’s the perfect opportunity to escape with four of your family members or closest friends, perhaps even in the comfort of your Honda Fit, and tour the sights. Luckily there’s no shortage of these festive neighborhoods in South Florida, either.

Christmas Lights in Pinecrest & Palmetto Bay

Tucked away along Hwy. 1, south of Miami, there are two communities that take special pleasure in bringing their creativity to the holiday celebration. Residents of both Pinecrest and Palmetto Bay create a feast of Christmas lights to brighten each other’s as well as the casual passerby’s spirits. Swing by anytime through the New Year to witness wintertime perfection.

Las Olas Isles

You may decide to skip the traffic and view this splendid display of lights by boat. However you choose to enjoy the magnificence of these spectacular Las Olas estates, its halls decked out in full regalia, you’ll undoubtedly feel like a kid again, lost for a moment in the magic of Christmas. We suggest touring the isle in your Honda Ridgeline, enjoying the warmth of its heated seats. But if you choose to go by boat, be sure to wrap up and enjoy an evening of dreams.

The Roads at Brickell

The vibrant lighting displays along the diagonal path of The Roads are out of this world. Thousands venture through The Roads during Christmas to see the lights, and you’ll see why when you join ‘em.
