Two-plus centuries and counting: That’s how long America has been celebrating its independence. With over a million residents and tourists here in the Fort Lauderdale and Davie area each Fourth of July, it’s no surprise that South Florida plays host to some of the best fireworks shows in the country. Whether you’re zipping down I-95 in your Accord or sitting underneath an umbrella at one of Fort Lauderdale’s wonderful beaches, you won’t have trouble watching the evening’s fireworks—especially when you plan around one of these amazing Fourth of July celebrations!
America’s Birthday Bash at Bayfront Park
If you absolutely, positively must get out with the Miami crowd on America’s anniversary, Bayfront Park is calling your name. The park opens up to the public at 10 am, but activities begin around 2 pm, starting with live music inside the Budweiser Beer Garden. The pièce de résistance, however, comes in the form of a free Family Fun Zone, which opens at 3 pm. Live music ends at 9 pm, which is when you’ll be in for a dazzling fireworks display that uses the park’s starlit sky as its canvas. Just arrive early to find a convenient parking spot for your Honda, and you’re sure to get the best seats for the show!

This rain-or-shine parade should begin in mid-morning—last year’s parade started at 11 am—and will culminate in a fireworks show at 9 pm over the Atlantic. But throughout the day, you and your friends and family can walk through Key Biscayne to shop, try tasty treats, or take a Jet Ski out on the waves. Once the sun begins to set, head to your favorite spot to catch the pyrotechnics! Visit www.kb4.org for more details on this 4th of July event.
Independence Day Fireworks and Family Fun Day in Davie
Your 4th of July afternoon just got packed thanks to Davie’s incredible schedule of events.
Starting at 10 am at the Pine Island Pool (Pine Island Park), kids and adults can enjoy free swimming, inner-tubing, water polo, and more. A ‘Fun Foam Spray”, treasure hunt, and watermelon eating contest will all be held until the pool closes at 4 pm.
But your day doesn’t end when the lifeguard whistle goes off! Dry off the family and head to the Bamford Sports Complex for arts and crafts, food trucks, face painting, bouncy castles, train rides, cake cutting, live music, and tons more. At 9 pm—we see a trend forming—the Davie fireworks go off above the complex.

Fourth of July Celebration in Hollywood, FL
The second-most famous Hollywood in the country is hosting their annual summertime treat from 2 to 10 pm on July 4th, and you’re all invited. Held at Blue Wave Beach, Hollywood’s Fourth of July Celebration will have a splash pad, races, games, and miles upon miles of white sand and beach foam to frolic in. Coral Gables Fourth of July Fireworks Celebration
Held at the legendary Biltmore Hotel in Coral Gables, this 4th of July tradition is one of our favorites. The grounds will open at 5 pm, but the action sizzles at 7 pm when the Greater Miami Symphonic Band takes the stage for a 2-hour show. At 9 pm, fireworks will light up the sky. If you decide to forego the trip in your Honda Accord and opt for a two-wheeled cycling contraption instead (what’s that called?), take advantage of the free valet service offered.
